Venue s

Game Time:

  • 3rd grade – 7th grade: Two 14 minutes halves 

  • 7th grade – 11th/12th grade: Two 16 minute halves  

 

Grace Period:

  • Each Team is responsible for being at the gym at least 30 minutes before their scheduled game.

  • There will be a 10 minute grace period allowed for any games(subject to change per the site director).  

  • At least 5 players & a coach must be present to start a game.  

  • There will only be a 3 minute warm up time before the game and 3 minutes at halftime.

  • If court is running behind, the Tournament Site Director & the Officials reserve the right to shorten the warmup time.

Time Outs:

Two full  & Two 30 - sec timeout per game.  One timeout in Overtime

Game Ball size:

  • The 28.5 is the official game ball size for all grades

Uniforms:              

  • All players must wear a numbered uniform that resembles the uniform worn by his/her teammates.

  • All players must have a home and away uniform

       Pressing:

  •  Pressing is allowed for all grade levels. Exception: 3rd and 4th grades, pressing is only allowed in the second half. Additionally, no pressing in any grade level is allowed if the lead is 20 points or greater for the winning team. 

Mercy Rule:

If a team is ahead by 25 points or more in 2nd half, the clock will run. If the lead drops below 20 points, normal rules (stopped clock) will resume.  All games will be completely played out no matter the score

Pre-Game:

  • Each team will be given 3 minutes to warm up before each game.

  • Home team is responsible for supplying the game ball.

  • Each team is responsible for cleaning the bench area after the game has ended.

Conduct:

  • We expects all players, coaches, parents, spectators, and staff to act in an appropriate manner. If a situation occurs, we reserves the right to remove a person from the site.

  • Each team is fully responsible to clean their own bench upon the completion of the game.

Technical Fouls & Player Ejections:

  • Any player receiving two technical fouls will be ejected from the game and will be suspended the very next game (NO Exceptions).   

  • Any player involved in a fight on the court will be ejected from the remainder of the event (Discretion of the official)

  • ABSOLUTELY, no player is permitted to leave the bench during an on the court altercation. The result will be an immediate ejection of that player and a technical foul will be assessed to the head coach.

  

Challenges & Protests:

  •  Coaches must have a copy of their roster at all times when participating at Premier 1 tournaments, including the player name, number, and date of birth.

  • Players who are found to be illegal will be ejected immediately, their coach will also be assessed a technical foul per player proven to be ineligible. Coaches are only permitted to challenge up to 3 players on the opposing team. If more than 1 player is proven illegal, a forfeit is assessed and the team is ineligible to advance. If the challenging coach is incorrect, he/she will be assessed a technical foul, multiple incorrect challenges will result in a ejection.

  • Any protests must be communicated immediately to the official scorer's table prior to the start of the game by the head coach only.  

  • No player may be allowed to play on two separate teams/organization and participate in the same event.  

  • A player that plays on two teams within the same organization can only play up in another age division.  

  • A player that plays on the two teams for the same organization (within the same age group) is not allowed. 

Tie Breaker Criteria (In Order):

  • If (2) teams are tied, "Head 2 Head competition between the two teams will determine seeding.

  • If more than 2 teams are tied or teams did not play each other, then a point differential (max 15 points) will be used.   

 ***In all other situations, high school federation rules apply.

 AGE/GRADE REQUIREMENT RULES DIVISION

                                        BOYS

  • 9U/3rd Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 3rd Grade and cannot turn 10 until after June 1, 2020.

 

  • 10U4th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 4th grade and cannot turn 11 until after June 1, 2020.

 

  • 11U/5th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 5th grade and cannot turn 12 until after June 1, 2020.

  • 12U/6th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 6th grade and cannot turn 13 until after June 1, 2020.

 

  • 13U/7th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 7th grade and cannot turn 14 until after June 1, 2020

.

  • 14U/8th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 8th grade and cannot turn 15 until after June 1 2020.  

  

  • 9th Grade: A player can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2020 Grade Exception: A player who is in 9th grade as of Oct. 1, 2019 and is no older than 16 on August 31, 2020 is eligible to play in 15U/9th Grade Division

  • 10th Grade: A player can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2020  Grade Exception: A player who is in 10th grade as of Oct. 1, 2019 and is no older than 17 on August 31, 2020 is eligible to play in 16U/10th Grade Division

  • 11th Grade: A player can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2020  Grade Exception: A player who is in 11th grade as of Oct. 1, 2019 and is no older than 18 on August 31, 2020 is eligible to play in 17U/11 Grade Division

 

                                             Boys

  • 9U/3rd Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 3rd Grade and cannot turn 10 until after June 1, 2020.

 

  • 10U4th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 4th grade and cannot turn 11 until after June 1, 2020.

 

  • 11U/5th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 5th grade and cannot turn 12 until after June 1, 2020.

  • 12U/6th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 6th grade and cannot turn 13 until after June 1, 2020.

 

  • 13U/7th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 7th grade and cannot turn 14 until after June 1, 2020

  • 14U/8th Grade: An athlete must be enrolled in the 8th grade and cannot turn 15 until after June 1 2020.  

  

  • 9th Grade: A player can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2020 Grade Exception: A player who is in 9th grade as of Oct. 1, 2019 and is no older than 16 on August 31, 2020 is eligible to play in 15U/9th Grade Division

  • 10th Grade: A player can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2020  Grade Exception: A player who is in 10th grade as of Oct. 1, 2019 and is no older than 17 on August 31, 2020 is eligible to play in 16U/10th Grade Division

  • 11th Grade: A player can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2020  Grade Exception: A player who is in 11th grade as of Oct. 1, 2019 and is no older than 18 on August 31, 2020 is eligible to play in 17U/11 Grade Division

                                            GIRLS​ 

2ND GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 2nd grade as of October 1, 2019 and can be no older than 9 on or before August 31, 2020. For an athlete
that is in the 3rd grade as of October 1, 2019 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 8 on or before August 31, 2020.

3RD GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 3rd grade as of October 1, 2019 and can be no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2020. For an athlete
that is in the 4th grade as of October 1, 2019 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 9 on or before August 31, 2020.

4TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 4th grade as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2019. For an athlete
that is in the 5th grade as of October 1, 2018 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2019.

5TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 5th grade as of October 1, 2019 and can be no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2020. For an athlete
that is in the 6th grade as of October 1, 2018 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2020.

6TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 6th grade as of October 1, 20119 and can be no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2020.  For an athlete
that is in the 7th grade as of October 1, 2019 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2020.

7TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 7th grade as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2019. For an athlete
that is in the 8th grade as of October 1, 2018 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2019.

8TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 8th grade as of October 1, 2019 and can be no older than 15 on or before August 31, 2020. For an athlete
that is in the 9th grade as of October 1, 2019 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2020.

9TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 9th grade as of October 1, 2019 and can be no older than 16 on or before August 31, 2020. For an athlete
that is in the 10th grade as of October 1, 2019 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 15 on or before August 31, 2020.

10TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 10th grade as of October 1, 20119 and can be no older than 17 on or before August 31, 2020. For an
athlete that is in the 11th grade as of October 1, 2019 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 16 on or before August 31,

2020.

11TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 11th grade as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 18 on or before August 31, 2019. For an
athlete that is in the 12th grade as of October 1, 2018 wanting to play down, they can be no older than 17 on or before August 31,

2019.

12TH GRADE DIVISION

An athlete must be in the 12th grade as of October 1, 2019 and can be no older than 19 on or before August 31, 2020.
